| GeoHab 2004 was held 5-7 May 2004 at the
Connemara Coast Hotel, Furbo, Co. Galway,
Ireland. The conference was organized by a team
lead by Anthony Grehan and Colin Brown of the
Department of Earth and Ocean Sciences of the
National University of Ireland, Galway. The
major themes of the conference were the Irish
National Seabed Survey, seabed classification
schemes, and a common habitat mapping approach.
The meeting was jointly sponsored by
the Irish Marine Institute and the Geological
Survey of Ireland.
